Happy FANdom Friday! Aren’t Fridays a lovely thing? This week we have a book suggestion, hence “New Blood”, fresh from the Books With BITE section of our forum, and the latest installment of the Black Dagger Brotherhood Challenges (Vishous – need I say more?!). Lots to discuss! Let’s get on it…
Midnight Breed series by Lara Adrian.
Along the lines of the Black Dagger Brotherhood, the Breed are a warrior band of vampires known as the Order, who protect the race and humankind from rogues. This series, like the BDB, has a super strong through-story, which I personally love about it, but with each book, a new warrior’s story is told. Each is unique and intense. In a lot of ways, it is similar to BDB, but the vampire lore is unique. Just released, was book 7 in the series, Shade of Midnight, and I have not tired of it – namely because of the afore-mentioned through story. In fact, she is one author I stalk for releases! In addition to learning the warrior’s stories, I want to know what happens! Lara Adrian is unique for a “Paranormal Romance” novelist, in that she really has a talent for weaving a story. I find that isn’t always the case – almost as if the story is an afterthought to the romantic relationship. Most definitely not the case here. I really enjoy these books – they are a lovely supplement to any BDB addiction! Starting with ::Kiss of Midnight:: and ::Kiss of Crimson:: the series is really very good. Particularly if you like the Black Dagger boys.
If you follow any of the chatter and recommendations in the Books With BITE section of our forum (of course you do!) you will notice that I have given a ‘rating’ to my suggestions. This one is most definitely rated MA – these are grown up vampires, and they are not for kids!
***Have you read this series? Visit the BITE forum and let us know what you think! No spoliers here, please!! ***

TTBDB5 – Vishous (Lover Unbound)
Vishous is amazingly complex character – he is brilliant. A technical genius who speaks 16 languages. He is tortured. Life was never easy, largely unbearable, for him before the Brotherhood, and not simple since. He is a warrior, with a battler’s soul – no weakness in himself is ever acceptable. Much like Rhage, he is physically cursed, though his cross to bear isn’t managed by a soothing shellan like Hollywood’s is. And V is just plain hard-nosed and not at all warm and fuzzy. Then the unthinkable happens…
Comment: V is a polarizing character – what is your opinion of him, and why?
Craft: Create a project that captures some facet of Vishous, and tell us about it.

Hello! Happy Tuesday! Alison here with our Second Twilight Tuesday Color Challenge! This week, my colors were inspired by Bella. I chose Garnet because originally, that was her favorite gemstone (before she went & changed it to Topaz for Edward’s eyes!). Next, I picked Phoenix Sky Blue because Bella frequently mentions how she misses the colors of her hometown. Lastly, I decided that we need to throw a neutral into the mix, so I picked Forks’ Sky. It’s a grayish green. Don’t get too thrown by the shade I chose… if you just use a regular gray, that’s fine! But if you wanna try to really wow us… go for this a little more interesting, if not a wee bit dreary color! Can’t wait to see your creations!!!
Our Design Team has fantastic projects to display for this weeks challenge – please go and check them out!

Don’t forget to have fun!
Hello! It’s Alison bringing you the next Twilight Tuesday Scrapbook Challenge! Ok, hear me out with this one. Think of this as a celebration of the New Year. As a purging of the soul. As a way to get out the nasty feelings we sometimes have about ourselves that will make us feel better. I betcha you’ll feel a lot better! Spoiler Alert!!! If you have not read the entire Twilight Saga then STOP!!! Go finish it already
and then you can come back to read this post!
Bella looked like…well, she looked like hell in Breaking Dawn when she was pregnant. I think all women at some point (if not all) during their pregnancy that they just don’t look their best. That glow? Yeah, that’s just sweat! You know what I’m talkin’ about! This week, I want you to make a layout (with or without photos) about how you looked. Journal about how you think you looked.
No kids? Make a scrapbook page (again, with or without photos) about a time when you think you didn’t look your best.
Check out what I came up with to inspire you! Please play along!!!
PS: I’m not sure what’s up with Mr Linky… but he seems to be in a bad mood. If you’d like to play along, please leave your bloggy info in the comment section! Thanks!!!

When you do, here are a few guidelines to follow:
1. Have fun! We want you to enjoy making Twilight inspired projects as much as the rest of us. There’s no pressure here, so make what you’d like when you can!
2. The layout does not have to be about The Twilight Saga, it can be about your life! However, if you’d like to base it off of the novels or movies you are of course welcome to!
3. Your scrapbook page does not have to contain photos. You can use ticket stubs, journaling, etc. You don’t need photos to make a killer page!
