Hey everyone! It was a quieter week here as we took this past Tuesday off following Labor Day weekend. But no worries — we’re back this coming Tuesday with a brand-new Twilight Tuesday Inspiration Challenge theme!

In the meantime, here’s something to look forward to over the weekend — on Sunday night, another New Moon movie trailer will be shown during the MTV VMAs. Here’s a very fancy countdown widget that does amazing things!

1. It counts down to the star of the Video Music Awards this Sunday (9 p.m. ET — don’t be late!)

2. As soon as the brand-spanking new exclusive extended "New Moon" trailer airs during the awards, it will morph (much like Jacob does into a werewolf) into a video player showing — wait for it! — the trailer itself!

It’s been a pretty quiet week in the Twilight world.  The cast and crew are all up in Vancouver and Eclipse has started filming.  And that’s about all the news on that. It’s so quiet now, waiting for the New Moon promotional craze to begin.

So while we wait for that, check out this beautiful shot of Alice from New Moon.  Doesn’t she look great?

We’re not quiet here, though!  Twilight Tuesday has been busy as usual — just this week, we had a new sketch challenge, a Twilight Tuesday challenge, and a Sookie challenge. Fun times! WHERE DO I BEGIN?!

This is a BIG day for New Moon stuff!  You all may know that a full-length New Moon trailer is being shown in theaters, starting today, before the movie Bandslam.  I think that this video might be it!  This is pretty  much the only video around right now, and there is something wrong with the sound at the beginning.  But trust – you’re gonna want to see this!  I will update if a better video surfaces soon.  In the meantime, CLICK BELOW!!

And Kristen and Taylor are on the cover of today’s issue of Entertainment Weekly.  They both look great – but OME, I’m missing Rob already….

Weird happenings in the Twilight world….by now you all have probably heard about the recasting of the role of Victoria in Eclipse.  I barely know what to say beyond that.  A strange decision, I think. Meet our new Victoria, Bryce Dallas Howard.

And Wide Awake fans….the countdown is ON.  The final chapter (chapter 52, Feel-Good Fortune Cookies) was tentatively due to be posted yesterday, so I imagine it’s coming any time now.  I don’t know whether to be happy or sad – I’m leaning towards sad.  But I do wish for a happy ending for WA-Edward and WA-Bella, and that chapter title is giving me hope.  An epilogue to the story is due to be posted on August 5th.

Stay tuned for next week, when we’ll lots of stuff coming up – a new sketch challenge, a new Twilight Tuesday Inspiration Challenge, and that is just the first couple days of the week!

And…who’s up for some New Moon spoiler clips?  Two new clips from the movie were shown at Comic Con yesterday, including one that shows a glimpse of vision-in-Bella’s-mind-Edward.  OME, have I been dying to see that!  And I’m not even going to TELL YOU what the other one is – you’ll have to visit Confessions of a TwiCrack Addict and see yourself!  (And also, I’m not going to embed the videos here in case people want to avoid spoilers.)

And now, so news about our Design Team. Our beloved Margie will be taking a bit of a break from her Design Team duties for the next several weeks.  We’ll miss you, Margie, and look forward to you rejoining us soon!  We’ll be right here when you get back.

But there is good news, too — we have a substitute who will step in and that is Erica!  Erica will work with us on the Design Team while Margie is away.  She’s been a big supporter of our site and we’re excited to begin to work with her!  Congratulations, Erica!

And one more quick bit of news – it’s been announced that a trailer for New Moon will be shown in theaters before the showing of the movie Bandslam, which opens on August 14th.  Ahh, as devoted as I am….I think that might be a “wait for YouTube” type of thing, to be honest.

It’s been another busy week at Twilight Tuesday!  Our challenge theme this week about Renesmee, chosen by our guest designer Jacquie, was a big hit!  The challenge was featured on The Examiner, including photos of the projects of Margie and Donna – check it out here!  The June sketch challenge has inspired some lovely projects, and there is a new Sookie challenge for this week too.  There are lots of ways to participate, so come along and play with us!

Don’t forget to visit the Site We Love for June, Lauren’s Bite!  We are in the process of gathering up some lovely goodies to send to Lauren and I’ll share photos of those projects soon.

It’s been another busy week around here!  So much going on – let’s dive right in!

First of all, want to get to know our new guest designers?  Alison, Donna, and Jacquie just joined our team for a three-month spot and we are so happy to have them!  Here are some quick bios about them – check them out, and visit their blog and leave them some love there, too!

Alison: Alison’s Random Thoughts

Alison has been a crafter since her mom first handed her a crayon. She has always had a love for it; it’s in her blood! Her first big passion has always been jewelry making.  Her mom used to take her to garage sales (from about the time that she was 4), buy her old beaded necklaces, cut them up and let her re-string them. It’s been a love affair ever since which eventually grew into an obsession with silversmithing. Her other passion is scrapbooking. She loves paper and all the wonderful things you can do to it. The messier, the better in her mind. In addition, Alison loves to stamp, make cards, draw, paint, and whatever else she can create while getting her hands dirty.

Beyond being a crafter, Alison is the blessed mom to Phoenix and Rhiannon, and the lucky wife to Gene. She owns Scrapaholics, a scrapbooking store in her home town, with her family. Alison loves to read, and that passion was reignited after reading the Twilight Saga last year (she read Breaking Dawn while she was in the hospital after giving birth to Rhiannon-yikes!). She has always loved all things vampire so her craze for the Twilight Saga wasn’t that big of a surprise. Alison is beyond thrilled to be a Guest Designer for TTIC. After learning about the site from DT member Margie, she was instantly hooked (even though computers are not usually her friend!). So, becoming a part of the design team is a dream come true!

Alison graduated from Hofstra University with a Fine Arts Degree and Specialization in Silversmithing.  She lives on Long Island, NY, with her awesome family.

Donna:  Donna’s Diary

Ever since Donna can remember, she has been drawing and painting.  She’s always loved everything about arts and crafts.  Donna started scrapbooking and cardmaking about 6 1/2 years ago, and living in a small country town, she sometimes found it hard to get the things she needed to keep her craft habit going.  Four years ago, she and two friends decided to solve that problem by opening their own scrapbooking store called Scrap ‘n’ Patch.  Apart from managing the store itself, they taught classes.  Donna’s specialty was cardmaking.  Unfortunately, two years ago, Donna’s family needed to move and she had to make the heartbreaking decision to leave the business, which is still going today.

Donna lives in a small town in South Australia, and loves photographing, cooking, making cards, painting the occasional canvas, exercising, and, of course, reading – that’s a given for a  Twilighter!  In August 2008, a friend recommended that Donna read the Twilight saga and she was hooked from page one!  And now, Donna describes herself as a 37 year old mother of two boys….with a crush on a vampire.  Donna says, “the world that Stephenie Meyer created has changed my life is so many ways, and at my age, I am still wondering how that happens!”   When Donna stumbled across Twilight Tuesday a few months ago, she thought she had found her own bit of heaven.  “Finally, people who don’t think I’m crazy when I am gushing about every Twilight!”  When the design team call was announced, Donna was ecstatic.  “Here was an opportunity to work with some seriously talented ladies who love all the things that I do, and..we get to create!  Could it get any better than that?”

Jacquie:  Family and Crafting

Jacquie began her crafting career in late 2007 at a neighbor’s card party.  After that, all it took was a link for a tutorial on Splitcoast Stampers for her to be hooked on cardmaking.  Through Splitcoast, Jacquie met some awesome friends and became part of some fun communities of ladies who love stamps.  She eventually she heard of the Twilight series and just had to read them right away in the fall of 2008.  She finished all four books within a week (sound familiar?) and became immersed in the world of Bella and Edward.  She hasn’t looked back since then!  Participating in the Twilight Tuesday Inspiration Challenges allowed Jacquie to work on her two favorite things at once, crafting and Twilight!

Jacquie tells us that, “after following the Twilight Tuesday challenges for so long, I am thrilled to have been given a guest designer position and to be a part of this amazing group of ladies and this amazing site!”

Jacquie spends her time with her family in Minnesota – making cards, and chatting with wonderful friends from all over.
