Hey Twilighters! The time has come! The wait is over! New Moon was released last Friday!!

I’m betting that a lot of you made big plans; I know I did! But here’s the thing, we at TTIC don’t want to just hear about your experience with the movie, we want to see it!!!

Did you pack up your camera and TAKE PHOTOS of your New Moon experience? Pics while you’re were waiting in line, of you and your Twi-friends, and even the afterglow of seeing all your fave Twi-boys??

Now, pull out your die cut machines, your snazzy embellishments and make a layout! Journal about your night out! Show us those awesome photos! Scrap your movie tickets! Let’s all get scrappin’!!!

This challenge will be due on December 1st, so for those of you who didn’t see the flick opening night, you’ve still got some time to play along with us!

Do you need to see some ideas to help inspire you to create your own scrappy experience of New Moon? Well take a look at these projects for some ideas:

TTIC #55: Monochromatic Colors! And 3 More Days Left…

authorTonya | November 17, 2009

Ok. Lots of stuff today! So let’s get started! I’m coordinating today’s post so I will be your guide…

First up, Eve has issued a fun and different kind of challenge for us today:

Make a project using a monochromatic color scheme

inspired by the Twilight Saga.

For those who may not know or are unsure, a monochromatic color scheme uses a single color on most every layer of a project. In this type of scheme, various darker shades, grayer tones, and paler tints of the main color may be included in the palette. In addition, the one color is often paired with white or another neutral. (Wording paraphrased from About.com)

This link from Bazzill Basics might give you some ideas!

Please scroll to the very bottom for the links to the design team’s creations and rules for playing in the challenge…

Next, just as a reminder…in case you’re in a coma or dead…

New Moon premieres in:

Today is the LAST day to sign up for the New Moon Blog Hop!!!

ARE YOU IN??

And finally, we’re doing something even MORE different today!

Alison is also issuing a Special Challenge:

Bonus Twilight Tuesday Inspiration Challenge: Collaboration with The Greeting Farm

authorJulie | July 15, 2009

tgfbadgeHere is something new and exciting – today we are doing a bonus Twilight Challenge!

We’re teaming up with The Greeting Farm to celebrate the release of their new “Edward” stamp, part of their Wild Sprouts line! And how cute is this little guy?

So for today, we’ll be working with a color challenge and with The Greeting Farm’s stamps!

The creative portion of the challenge is to make a piece using the classic Twilight color scheme of red, black, and silver, and you must use a stamp from The Greeting Farm to play along.

For the comment portion of the challenge:

So many of us turn to these classic colors for Twilight projects, which are clearly inspired by the covers of the books.  However, we’d like to know if you have other favorite colors to use for Twilight projects.  Do you have any other interesting colors that you like to use? Leave a comment here and tell us about it!

And now, learn a little bit about The Greeting Farm!  It’s a small and friendly rubber stamp company that is known for their very popular Anya line of stamps.  And they offer other character and theme stamps as well.  Marie, the owner of The Greeting Farm, has a great business philosophy; Marie says, “we don’t set the trend, our customers do! Happy customers equal a very a happy farm. Come on over because here at the farm, you always have a friend!”  You can visit The Greeting Farm’s store here, and visit their blog here.

And there is more – there will be a PRIZE! Marie from The Greeting Farm has generously offered a prize for this special challenge!  The winner will receive a Greeting Farm Stamp Set of their choice directly from the Farm!  To enter, just participate in the challenge and leave us your link here in the comments by July 28th.   A winner will be selected by random drawing and will be announced on July 29th!

Sincere thanks to goes to Marie from all of us at Twilight Tuesday. We’re really happy to collaborate with The Greeting Farm on this fun challenge!
