fan-fiction… marble and mahogany by letmesign
The standard disclaimer: If you have’t read Twilight “WHY NOT??? If you haven’t finished the series then skip this chatter because we might spoil something for you and we definitely don’t want to do that.
This Week’s Story:
Marble and Mahogany by letmesign
The Premise:
Bella is broken and unstable, trying desperately to start her own life after leaving her creator. Edward feels doomed to an eternity of wandering alone and finds himself hoping to find a mate for the first time in his existence. AU–some dark themes. ~letmesign
The Verdict:
(Donna’s off today recovering from her long night out for New Year’s Eve downunder so I’m flying solo today.)
This has got to be one of the best all vampire stories I’ve ever read. Letmesign does a wonderful job of pulling your right into the characters and wanting to know more.
The story begins with Alice doing what she does best… keeping secrets from a whiny and pensive Edward. He knows she’s keeping something big from him. The family has settled in Seattle and the ‘kids’ are attending Washington University and Edward is still alone. How will he react when he meets another vampire who sparks feelings he thought he was destined to never feel?
Letmesign does brilliant job weaving an action packed and BOLD tale of need, want, deception and fate. This is by far one of the gustiest all vampire stories I’ve ever read in terms of plot… and it delivers.
