Hooray for Friday!  We are another week closer to The Movie!   Very good things, in my book.  This week on FANDOM Friday, we are going to examine the music of the New Moon soundtrack.  Or rather, we are going to create our own!  Since most of us have not actually heard the tracks from the official list, we thought it would be fun to think about what artist or song you would like to see on the album.   Since music is such a powerful, emotional rollercoaster, it is a perfect connection for this movie – particularly, with the huge emotional swings and intensity inherent in this story.     The possibilities are endless…  Let’s hear your suggestions!

Craft Portion:  Create a project of your choosing depicting a song that represents New Moon to you.  Use the music as your guide! 

Comment Portion:  Tell us what song or artist you would like to see on the soundtrack, and why.  If you have participated in the craft portion, tell us about it!!  Have you heard any of the Official tracks yet?  Give us a review…  Are you familiar with any of the artists?  Tell us why they do or do not belong.     Take your pick!

  Ok so I haven’t gotten around to a craft but I do have a song that I think would fit into the Now Moon Soundtrack. The song Is Picking Up The Pieces by Blue October, Here’s the Lyrics. I think it describe what Bella is going through after Edward leaves. Here is a good part of the song….
  I’ll be as honest as I feel
  I’m getting more paranoid and I’m hearing things
  And they never turn out real
  It feels like my heart is made of pure steel
  It’s just so heavy all the time

  I haven’t heard the sound track, yet. I do listen to Muse though and The Killers.

  I agree, Picking Up the Pieces would be an excellent song!!! It’s one of my favorites. Which that is a ridiculous statement from ME since EVERY Blue October song is “one of my favorites.” LOL

  I haven’t heard the soundtrack at all, but I cannot wait! I loved hearing the first soundtrack – many of those songs were not what is in my normal listening (although I like pretty much everything) so I’m really looking forward to “getting to know” the songs and bands on the the second soundtrack. Whew …. I think that’s one long run-on sentence, but I think I managed to spit it out. But it bears repeating, I’m really looking forward to getting to know the songs/bands on the second soundtrack!

  Okay, I’m a little late to this but I was listening to one of my all-time fav songs this morning and it hit me how perfect this song would be for New Moon!Its called ‘Your Guardian Angel’ by the Red Jumpsuit Apparatus and you can see the lyrics here:
